The BFi53ER0S EdgeBox unifies Bluetooth Mesh / NLC lighting, Modbus RTU field devices and 0–10 V I/O to a Modbus TCP network, BMS or cloud over PoE. The ER0S variant adds a 5G DECT NR+ radio — the BFi91NR1 stack — to receive long-range sensor backhaul from BFi91XTD nodes over 2 km, with no SIM and no cellular subscription.

A powered edge gateway that bridges field-side Bluetooth Mesh lighting, Modbus RTU devices and 0–10 V I/O to a Modbus TCP network, BMS or cloud over PoE Ethernet. The ER0S adds an integrated 5G DECT NR+ radio with the built-in BFi91NR1 stack (ETSI TS 103 636) to receive long-range backhaul from BFi91XTD sensor nodes.
Field-side wireless and wired devices on one side; your BMS, cloud and IP systems on the other.
BFi53 dimmers and battery-free switches over Bluetooth Mesh / NLC — full mesh model support.
Long-range fixed-termination link from BFi91XTD sensor nodes — over 2 km, no SIM.
Acts as a Modbus RTU master to meters, drives and controllers on the RS-485 bus.
2× 0–10 V inputs and 2× 0–10 V outputs for dimming ballasts, sensors and actuators.
Proxies self-powered EnOcean switches and sensors straight into the mesh / network.
Presents everything as a Modbus TCP server to SCADA, BMS or cloud over one PoE cable.
The EdgeBox carries several protocol stacks on board — including FLSEMI's US-developed DECT NR+ MAC — and a Thread-over-Ethernet stack that connects Thread / Matter devices to Apple HomeKit and other smart-home ecosystems.
One gateway for Bluetooth Mesh, Modbus and long-range DECT NR+ sensing.
