Hypermarket trading-floor ceiling with an air-handling unit and ductwork

Thirty-four air handlers onto one Modbus TCP stream.

A hypermarket in Taoyuan, Taiwan, retrofitting its chilled-water plant across two trading floors while they stay open.

The site: 17 air-handling units per floor; two-way valves on every chilled-water branch and fan-coil unit.
The control: Outside-air free cooling and CO₂-based ventilation, following occupancy rather than a timer.
The EdgeRouter: Modbus RTU master on RS-485, serving the same points as Modbus TCP over one PoE+ cable.

We name a customer only when they ask us to.

Before you specify it

Good to know.

Bluetooth Mesh + DECT NR+ together: not yet tested. Each is verified on its own; tell us if you need both on one unit.
BFi53ER0S terminal assignment to be announced. The terminal block described on these pages is the BFi53ER0’s.
No ingress rating. Outdoors, fit it in a sealed NEMA / IP cabinet.
DECT NR+ not yet US-certified. Approval status for your country is confirmed in writing before shipment.
No DECT NR+ range figure. Our tests are over the air in the lab.
BFi53ER0S power is estimated. The measured figure follows the power-load test.
No native BACnet. On a BACnet/IP site it sits behind a BACnet-capable controller.
Not a control or safety device. Interlocks stay in the local PLC.
